Turkey Burgers

The Cooks Illustrated folks talk so much BS about turkey burgers. They claim they made 200 of them to figure out how to get em tasty!  Crazy right? In the audio version they mentioned about adding gelatin or something like that.Seriously.

We made a bunch of T-burgs this summer. Our very first one was loaded with flavor. We got the ground turkey from Canter Hill Farm at Bryn Mawr Farmers Market. It was outstanding on its own and with some decent American cheese and a Philly Bills Dill it was the rival of an excellent beef burger.

We made a few patties with Griggstown ground turkey using the caramelized onions version (got them at Headhouse Sunday Mkt). These were delicious as well.


 The T-burgs in the pic used Godshall's fresh ground turkey (RTM). These were great with whiz, l,t,o, on potato buns.

Z Food Farm




Z is at Rittenhouse Mkt on Saturday. They are organic produce vendors with uncommon varieties that are grown locally, and picked in their prime...ultra tasty.

Tomorrow's tart uses Z food Farm purple torpedo onions,  Shishito peppers and heirloom tomatoes.
